The live production switcher for Mac.
MeexLive is a live production switcher built for the Mac. Switch cameras, slides, screens and web pages between Preview and Program, then record and stream the result, all from one app.
Join the List
I’ll email when there’s news or a chance to test it. That will be rarely.
What it does
Presentations as a real source
Bring in PowerPoint (PPTX) and ODP files as they are, with their embedded video and audio.
Up to eight cameras
USB cameras and HDMI capture devices.
Preview and Program
Cut, fade, wipes, stingers and fade to black.
Record every camera
Program in H.264, HEVC or ProRes, plus each camera to its own file, lined up for editing.
Stream the result
Go live over RTMP or RTMPS to YouTube, Facebook and similar services.
Run it from a phone
A phone and tablet remote on your own network, plus a documented control API.
Titles and more sources
Lower thirds, overlays, screen and window capture, web pages, movies and playlists.
Who it’s for
If you’ve been looking for a vMix alternative for Mac, this is what I’m building.
Churches that run on Macs
A service every week, new slides every week, and often a volunteer at the desk.
Schools and universities
AV departments and Mac labs.
Corporate AV and comms teams
Town halls and webinars.
Freelancers and small production companies
When your gear already runs on a Mac.
Where it stands
In development and not available yet. A small group of churches will try it first.
Not yet: NDI and other network cameras, remote guests and instant replay.
It will need a Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 or later) and macOS 14 or newer. 16 GB of memory is comfortable.
News and a chance to test. Rarely.
